Sara Arjun was born on 18 June 2005 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Her father Raj Arjun is a working actor — people who follow Hindi cinema know him from Secret Superstar and Thalaivii, and he has done solid work in The Family Man and web series too. Her mother Sanya Arjun is a dance teacher. Growing up in that kind of household, Sara was around performance and discipline from the start.
She has a younger brother named Suhaan Arjun, who appeared in a short film called Dinner in 2016.
Sara started doing TV commercials when she was barely a year and a half old. By the time she was six, she had already appeared in over 100 ads — McDonald’s, LIC Housing Finance, Kalyan Jewellers, Maggie Healthy Soups. Most child actors start with one or two ads. Sara was doing this at a pace that most adults couldn’t manage.
She was first noticed at a shopping mall by an ad filmmaker when she was around four years old. He offered her a commercial on the spot, her parents said yes, and the rest of it just kept building from there.
Her film debut was in the 2011 Tamil film Deiva Thirumagal, directed by A.L. Vijay. She played Nila — a six-year-old girl — and the film also starred Vikram. That performance won her the Vijay Special Jury Award for Best Child Artist. She was six years old at the time.
After that, Saivam (2014) in Tamil earned her the Vijay Award for Best Child Artist again. The Telugu remake of Saivam, titled Dagudumootha Dandakor (2015), followed. Malayalam debut came in 2016 with Annmariya Kalippilaanu.
Bollywood work ran alongside all of this — Ek Thi Daayan (2013), Jai Ho (2014) with Salman Khan, Jazbaa (2015) with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. In Jazbaa she played Aishwarya’s daughter, and the emotional dynamic between them was one of the things people remembered about that film.
In Ponniyin Selvan Part 1 and Part 2, she played young Nandini — the younger version of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s character again, which says something about how directors see her on screen.
Then came Dhurandhar in December 2025 — Aditya Dhar’s spy thriller with Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Akshaye Khanna. Sara played Yalina Jamali, the daughter of a Pakistani politician, whose involvement with Ranveer Singh’s undercover character becomes central to the story. It was her first major adult lead role in Bollywood, and critics noted she held her own in a film full of experienced names.
Sara is active on Instagram under the handle @saraarjunn. She keeps her social media relatively low-key — mostly work updates, a few personal moments. No controversies, no drama. For someone who grew up in public view, she seems very deliberate about how much she shares.
Sara’s estimated net worth as of 2026 is around ₹10 to 12 Crore. She charges approximately ₹1 Crore per film and ₹20 to 25 Lakh per ad campaign. A big chunk of that came from over a decade of consistent work — films, web series, commercials, and brand deals across four languages.
